The Federal faction

Centuries of total war have reduced Earth to a radioactive wasteland, forcing warring nations to bunker-down in purpose-built domes. Sealed off, these remnants of mankind attempt to survive on limited resources, but one by one the domes have begun to fall. Now only one dome remains, controlled by the Federals.

Back-story

The Federacy was an organization born out of necessity. As conditions on Earth became increasingly hostile, humanity was faced with a difficult decision. Adapt, or die. The Federacy was formed, an international entity formed of many collapsing governments, to protect the remnants of a dying race. Work on the first dome began, millions applied for residence but few were granted access. Although popularity of the Federacy grew with every new dome, many formed deep hatred for the Federacy, cursing them for providing safety to the rich while neglecting the poor. Riots and even wars broke out, targeting the domes. This forced the Federacy to invest in bleeding-edge military technology and form a dedicated army, sworn to protect those contained within the domes.

As the years passed and conditions on Earth declined further, the assaults on the domes became more violent and more organized. Those without shelter were filled with deep hatred, although it was their hatred that forced the Federacy to halt construction of new domes. The rebels were mutants, stripped of their very humanity by years of living in an irradiated, toxic wasteland. However, the mutations seemed to have made them strong, adaptable and immune to the harshness of the desolate wastelands, they were not to be under-estimated. When the first dome was destroyed, a wave of fear spread among the other domes. Chaos ensued and conditions inside the domes worsened. The Federacy was spending more time controlling the populations it was sworn to protect than fighting the menace that threatened their very existence.

One by one, the remaining domes began to fall. Now only one remains, the last hope for humanity.
