» Patch v1.08 released!

Update 1.08 adds an entirely new multiplayer system with multiple enhancements designed to streamline your online gaming experience. This new update will upgrade the game to version 1.08 and is intended for both retail and online-purchased versions of the game.

Update 1.08 includes:

  • New and improved multiplayer experience
  • Expanded and optimized multiplayer interface
  • Online in-game Chat Lobby
  • Advanced Firewall Negotiation
  • New UDP-based networking framework, "V4P" with lower latency and faster connections.
  • Improved balancing for more strategic depth.
  • Multiple bug fixes and improved overall stability

» Sunage Gone Gold and Shipping Across Canada and the US

Leading publisher Lighthouse Interactive and developer Vertex4 have announced that the highly anticipated North American version of their dynamic sci-fi real-time strategy game SunAge has gone gold and will begin shipping to major retail stores across Canada and the US on January 28, 2008. A bilingual French/English version will be released in Canada for Francophone fans.

» Patch 1.06 released!

Update 1.06 adds several new enhancements and features, as requested by the growing SunAge community. This new update will upgrade the game to version 1.06 and does not require v1.05.

Update 1.06 includes:

  • Added difficulty settings for single player campaign mode
  • Improved formation dragging features
  • New handling for Bomber units
  • Port change and various optimisations for multiplayer
  • Several path finding issues solved
  • Added 3rd Mouse-handling style (alternative RMB mode)
  • Added instant squad reaction for giving commands
  • Optimized alternative modes for several units (Skimmer, Golgotha, Liberator)
  • Improved 'boxing' of units
  • Added support for laptops with 'SpeedStep' technology
  • Several bug fixes and improved overally stability

Finally, please note that the TCP/IP ports used by SunAge for multiplayer sessions have changed. If you are behind a firewall or router, in order to host SunAge games you need to open TCP port 27960 and UDP port 32331 first. After you have done that, your game sessions should become visible to other players.

» First Official SunAge Patch v1.05 Released!

We are happy to announce that the first SunAge patch has been released! We have already begun progress on a big hotfix which will include a large number of minor improvements and fixes including some large improvements to the multiplayer server, thanks for the feedback guys!

The patch adds several new enhancements and bugfixes, upgrading the game to version 1.05 and is intended for the English and Italian boxed versions of the game.

For those of you with Direct download versions, you already have v1.05 which means you DON'T NEED THIS PATCH! Please don't try to patch it anyway. :)

» SunAge available on GamersGate and TotalGaming!

This friday, SunAge was released on GamersGate.com and TotalGaming.net to the cheer of an exhilarated fanbase!
