Our First Newsletter!
*Fanfare* I proudly present, the first SunAge newsletter in the history
of mankind! And it's going to be a really awesome one. Just wait to see
what I've got in store for you guys!
Firstly, I'd just like to say to everyone who has been participating in
the forums, even just to say hi. Thank you! We really appreciate
hearing from you guys, because... well... we have nothing better to do!
Just kidding, of course.
The team have been hard at work on SunAge and it seems like we can
quite safely say that SunAge WILL be released in October. Of course,
that is not accounting for a giant swarm of locusts descending on the
Vertex4 office, destroying everything in sight and making a right mess
of the place. Stranger things have happened!
Now to get on with the news of the last few weeks!
Federation Week - The First Chapter!
Our first Faction-based week, although being longer than a week, ended
without much of a hitch. Things did get a bit slow towards the end of
the week, but we still pumped out several brilliantly written, if I do
say so myself, feature articles. Now to present them:
» The Federals
Providing the first in-depth analysis of the Federals back-story, this
article details the plight that caused man to be forced to hide within
fabricated domes, hiding from the outside world. It explains how the
domes began to fall and how the fate of humanity rests on the shoulders
of the Federation.

» Federal unit: The Liberator tank
The first SunAge unit to be revealed in all its splendor to the public,
the Liberator Tank does not fail to disappoint. This article details
the reason for the Liberator's popularity in the Federal Army, its
class, armament, defense capabilities and its alternate modes. You are
certainly not short of information here!

» Federal unit: The Centurion
Following the success of the Liberator article, we were quick to follow
up with an article about the Centurion bipedal assault mech. The
article details the roots of the Centurion and the reason why it was
designed in the first place. Of course, it also gives you a full
statistical summary of the Centurion's armament, defense capabilities,
alternate modes and tactical uses. Included with the report are
reconnaissance shots of the Centurion on the battlefield.

» Federal buildings
Last but certainly not least, we have the article that was launched
less than an hour ago, giving a detailed analysis of many of the
structures of the Federacy. Giving full explanation of how the build
system in SunAge works, the article goes on to give information on the
B.M.R. (the main builder unit of the Federacy), the Complex Tower (HQ)
and the Transmitters which are used to distribute power to your
expansions. Lastly, there is a surprise for those of you who like
Tactical Nuclear Warheads. ;)

» Four New Screenshots!
We also released four new screenshots as a special treat to keep you
going to the next article. Wasn't that nice of us?

GameReplays - The Resources of SunAge
Locke, of GameReplays, has written an very well laid out article on the
resources of SunAge, providing plenty of useful information for those
of you who were asking, "Four resources?... FOUR? Why four?!". Discover
the power of the rare Iberium Resource, the strength of tough
Zirkonium, the effect that map layout has on economic warfare and what
makes SunAge's resource system so special.

The Best of the Forums
Those of you who are often active in the forums will know it's been
getting pretty crazy in there lately, whew! New posts all over the
place, threads dangerously off-topic, random comments and just plain
silliness! However, I have to admit, it's been pretty fun and I look
forward to the continued high-jinks of the SunAge community. So to kick
us off, I'm going to give all of you forumites a special reward...
» SunAge Signatures!
I am proud to present, SunAge faction signatures so showing off the
respect you get for being an awesome member of the awesome SunAge
community. May they spread throughout your signatures on all the forums
you encounter!
