SunAge has Gone Gold!
It's official! SunAge has finally gone Gold, which means that the game is
done and is being distributed to the Publisher for printing and
distribution! No, you're not dreaming. I've already pinched myself many times
and splashed cold water on my face in an effort to wake myself from this
euphoric dream.
We at Vertex4 would just like to thank everyone, all of
you, for sticking with us through everything. Our job would have been so much
harder without your support, comments and suggestions. Especially, all you crazy
people on the forum, spamming it with useless excited nonsense day after day.
:)
I would personally like to recognize the whole Vertex4 team (except
me, of course!) for working so hard to make SunAge the best game it can be.
These guys have been pouring every moment they can afford into getting this game
to the awesome standard that all of you have been hoping for! Finally, they can
sit down and have a cup of tea for 1 minute, before getting back to work on
patches and the demo. :)

Pre-Release Event Footage
We held a pre-release party in Amsterdam
where a select few were invited to come play a beta version of SunAge and give
their comments, suggestions and bug-reports! They also got to play with and
against Corg and each other. The whole party was a huge success and the feedback
was invaluable. Thanks to Phoenix and Koen for the footage!

Raak-Zun Week - The Second Chapter!
Our second Faction-based week, again being longer than a week, ended without much of a hitch. Things did get a bit slow towards the end of the week, but we still pumped out several brilliantly written, if I do say so myself, feature articles.

Inspired by the fevered dreams of
children, the Golgotha is a masterpiece of Raak-Zun biological and mechanical
engineering skills. Only the most loyal Commanders of the Order are chosen to
experience the ritual of the Golgotha, for only those who have devoted their
lives to Raak are capable of wielding such power.

Combat Modes and Upgrades
Combat modes are a key game-play
mechanic in SunAge, allowing you to adapt your forces to an emerging threat.
Creating vast potential for micromanagement and giving your forces more flexibility when facing enemy oppression. Choosing the correct alt. modes to research, and at the right time, is an attribute of an experienced commander.

Sentinel Age - The Final Chapter
Finally, to
conclude our Faction-based Weeks or "Ages" (as they took ages!) we launched
Sentinel Age. This age is still on-going and you can expect two more articles in
the coming days. We've been very busy with other things but still managed to
launch two great articles:
The Sentinel
The Sentinel have been spoken of for generations.
Claims have been made that they are mindlessly pursuing a deep unknown purpose,
inhuman and uncaring. Some say they are a proud race of eternal beings, protecting the fate of the universe as though they were gods. There are those who speak of them as fleshless demons, cold-hearted and lifeless.

Sentinel unit: Behemoth
A tough, mobile assault unit which is
capable of dealing massive damage to Buildings and Heavy Units, particularly
those with Plated armor. Although slow, it's tough armor keeps it protected from
most attacks. Some models also carry the feared Inverted Shield
Generator.

The Best of the Forums
We've had a pretty friendly forum
atmosphere lately and it's great! We've not even come slightly close to warning
or banning anyone because there has just been no need. Although, you crazy
people have been posting insane numbers of replies in the same threads! Where
are the new threads? New comments? If you are reading this and have not participated in the forums, please join us! We need the new ideas, comments, questions, nonsense! We welcome you with open arms and banana sandwiches. :) You are one of us now... mwahahaha...
