When mankind retreated into the domes they also committed an act of grand betrayal - abandoning many of their peoples to perish in the toxic wastelands. But not all perished. Suffering decades of mutation and hardship, a new race was born with the instinct and brute force to survive the dangers of the wasteland: the Raak-Zun.

Back-story

The story of the Raak-Zun is clouded by tales of misery, hardship and brutality. Remnants of mankind, left to die in the wastelands, they had little choice but to fend for themselves. On the irradiated wastelands of Earth, few could survive, food was scarce and the dangers were many. With conditions as they were, many were desperate, turning to crime and murder to ensure their survival. The piles of dead grew each day, along with deformations, strange sicknesses and nightmarish hallucinations.

Then Raak appeared, an eternal strength echoing through every human left to die outside the domes, uniting them. Disciples of Raak gathered together and the cult of the living god, spread quickly. With the power of Raak, they were more easily able to adapt to the wasteland and become one with it. They had learned to survive, but beyond that the wastelands had become their home. They had adapted and become stronger, tougher and faster than ever before

A young girl was chosen and merged with the Raak's body, able to interpret its will. Known only as the Oracle, she told the tribes to unite as one, to show the Federals that they were cowards for hiding away in their precious domes. The Federals had abandoned them to die and they were to be enlightened to the wrath of Raak. The Order was formed, a religious order devoted to enforcing Raak's will and protecting the Raak-Zun from the oppressive Federals.

Discovering that the Raak-Zun were forming an alliance, an organised Order, the Federals were quick to launch a pre-emptive strike. The Federal force first struck across a small Raak-Zun village. Declaring them monsters, the Federals murdered the inhabitants and burned the village to the ground. Stricken with rage, the Order of the Raak-Zun took vengeance on the Federal force. There were no survivors, their skulls were torn from their bodies and worn as trinkets on the belts of those who slew them. Still burning with hatred and disgust, the Raak-Zun launched an assault on a nearby dome. The war of the Raak-Zun had begun.

Now we must show the Federals that they cannot withstand the might of Raak. You either stand with us, or you are against us. The choice is yours. Join the Raak-Zun and claim this world in the name of Raak!
