The Sentinel
For eons we have asked ourselves, "Is anything out there?" and have only received a great silence. But deep within our subconscious, we can sense them. We know they are out there, somewhere.
The question that remainds on our lips is this, "What are they?", "What do they want?", "Are they like us?". Many fear what they cannot understand, some avoid the knowledge altogether. Some believe that entities not of this world would bring great pain and suffering upon us.
Earth is in a dire situation, we need help. It seems that now, our fear and prejudice has given way to hope, "If they are out there, will they help us?".
The Sentinel have been spoken of for generations. Claims have been made that they are mindlessly persuing a deep unknown purpose, inhuman and uncaring. Some say they are a proud race of eternal beings, protecting the fate of the universe as though they were gods. There are those who speak of them as fleshless demons, cold-hearted and lifeless.
If these Sentinel exist, do they pose us a threat? Will they cause the extinction of humanity, or save us from our certain fate? Perhaps they would view us with indifference? These answers continue to echo into the great silence with one answer alone: Only time will tell.

The warning of the damned
...And Raak saved the eternal spirits from their endless wandering, giving them purpose and strength. They were grateful and joyous, but Raak was certain there was tension in the air. "You have a message for me." Raak spoke, patiently.
The spirits gazed upon him, their attention fixed and unwavering, speaking in unison, "Warn the powerful one, the one who shall free you from your eternal fate. Lifeless beings, devoid of compassion, bravery or honour, seek his destruction. They will stop at nothing to undo his work. Beware temptation, be wary of those whom you seek to trust. Immortality is a gift unto you but this warning must not go unheeded."
Raak thanked them for their wisdom and disappeared into the dust of the wasteland.
